Thursday String Idea #14

 It's another Thursday String Idea!
On Friday because I have too much happening in my life.
It's time to start weeding out some of the unimportant stuff,
if there is such a thing,
and focus on what's important.
Right now what is important is getting ready to make the move to Maine. That's all I think about when I'm not drawing, and usually while I am drawing, too. Hahaha!
BUT, back to the string idea.

Here is my new string for the week, a day late.
This string can be interpreted in a lot of ways.
I chose to go with some tangles in the foreground,
then use my blox as the background,
tangled in a small handmade journal I have.
I used scrapbook paper, watercolor paper, mixed media paper, and pages I pre-colored with dylusions ink sprays and Brushos.
For tangles I used paradox, ceedarr and blox in the first square.
The second square has corn rows, golden, arrowhead, patch, and part of dayz eaze.
All are my own patterns with the exception of paradox.
Fun times stacking squares!

If you would like to print out the string as a standard 3.5" square, click here.
Have fun!
Happy Thursday a day late!

Post Card Time Again

Just a quick post before the laptop battery dies. As in dead. Kaput. Fini. (Those last two may be spelled wrong.) Still working on post cards for the CZT swap. That middle tangle is my pattern - Ceedarr. This one's a lot of fun to draw! I also used quipple - which I will never ever use again. Like . . . ever. Thank you, Taylor Swift!

String Challenge 057

I am going to hit you with one of these a day until I am caught up! Hahaha! This is my response to string challenge #057. (Yes, I do know that my tile looks upside down. Actually, it was upside down when I typed "The Creator's Leaf" on it. I'm just now noticing. Sorry.) The string was provided by Bambi Lint. This is what it looked like before I tangled:
It looks a might different once you add some patterns and shading. If you ever get stuck with your tangling, and you have trouble coming up with a string to use, just head on over to Tangle Patterns and click on "Strings" in the top pink bar. This will take you to a page where Linda Farmer has all the strings she's ever offered in one listing. That will keep you busy for awhile - it is me!

String 054

Still questing away, trying to catch up on my string challenges. Linda Farmer, at Tangle Patterns, offers a string each week that we tangle any way we want to. This particular string was offered by Hope Martin. This is what we had to begin with:
What a fun challenge! One down, a whole lot left to go!
