Wishes Do Come True

Wishes do come true. Hmmm. Sometimes I have to wonder if it's wise to wish, but then I figure nothing is going to get better unless I do.

Page two in my new grid journal. Fifi asked yesterday if I drew all the artwork for this journal. The answer would be - no.

A grid journal is one way to pull artwork and quotes and statements from other sources and collect them into one journal with your own thoughts pulling it together.  These two faces have been stashed in one of my pinterest boards in hopes that one day I might be able to draw something like these. Right. Well, I can dream, can't I?

A Little Tink

I wanted to title this post You Can't Go Wrong With a Little Tink, but figured that was definitely too long! "But," you say, "there is in fact a little Tink in this picture!" and you would be right, hence the proposed title of You Can't Go Wrong With a Little Tink. Hahahaha!

Actually, this is the first page of a new journal I have started. It is called a Grid Journal because you build it in grids ~ on top of grids. Mixed media artist Martha Lever is teaching a workshop called Lollapalooza 3: The Big Grid Journal at Creative Workshops. If you are interested in learning how to make one of these fun - and different - art journals, click on that link. It takes you straight to the ordering page :).

You should seriously check it out, but use the link because if you google it you have to first figure out how to spell lollapalooza and that isn't easy!

My friend Cindy has started a grid journal as well. Here's a link to her first pages - Cottage Remnant. And while you're there, you should leave a little love in her comment section so she will know someone's been there :).
