It's Crazy Here!

The countdown has begun.
The U-Haul truck and movers will be
here in seven days! Yay!!!
So.
I am in crazy ninja packing like a nut mode
trying to get everything done.
I also have several doctor appointments
in the midst of packing yet another box.

I just realized I never posted this variation of
betweed that I tangled up a while back.
Looks intimidating, but it was really easy.
This particular piece was
tangled on scrapbook paper.

Start with a circle,
section it off into about six segments,
then betweed each section with curvy lines.
And be patient.

Now. Back to my boxes!

Make Your Own Journaling / Tangling Cards

Recently on Blitsy I found little packages of journaling cards -
actually bits of colorful scrapbook paper - from BoBunny.
The cards came in several different sizes,
all perfect for tangling.
Do you only have a few minutes at night for yourself?
Pick up a journaling card and tangle it for yourself.
The first three you see only took me 10-15 minutes each to complete.
You really can fit a quick project into your tightly scheduled routine.
Do you have to buy little journaling cards from Blitsy?
Or Michael's?
Or Hobby Lobby?
(No, but you should go there and check out all the holiday decorations! I am now the proud owner of three snow covered Christmas trees that I saved a total of $1,300.00 on by waiting till the day after Christmas.)

If you scrapbook/ed like so many of us,
you probably have scrapbook paper that you bought for a
specific project and never used.
Or paper you bought in a pack and you
still have sheets that you don't really like,
or they don't go with your color scheme.

Take you trusty little paper trimmer
and cut those sheets into:
4" x 6"
4" x 4"
3" x 3"
OR
2" x 2".

These are frequently used journaling sizes,
and they will fit into any of the journaling
sheet protectors you might have from various companies.

Tangle and decorate these cards with
whatever tools you normally use.
Pens, fine liners, markers, pencils,
watercolor, ink sprays,
they all work well on scrapbook paper.

And have fun!
That's the recipe for success!

A Few More Dropz

Dropz is a super fun tangle to work with!
Here you see the regular version on the left,
and the reversed version on the right.
To see the step out go here.

I also used another my tangles - All Boxed Up -
the step out for it is here.
And I included printemps,
a loose version of onamato,
and atorm.

Background is a leftover piece of scrapbook paper.
My go-to paper recently.
You should look around your area for a cool
piece of paper you can tangle on!
I'd love to see what you do.

Tangling on Scraps

This was a fun project!
I took a leftover piece of scrapbook paper and
trimmed it down to 5"x 7".
I trimmed one edge with a bit of washi tape.
At first glance, this section reminded me of an underwater cavern.
Of course, most things remind me of underwater scenes.
Hahaha!
So I started sectioning off what I thought might be
a big piece of coral.
I finished tracing it out and used my tangle
coral for the main part,
then started stacking in some tipple at the base.
That tipple slowly evolved into my signature printemps,
forming the base in the shape of a hill.
I really liked the orange band across the center and thought it would be a lovely place for a school of little fishies to be swimming past!
And underwater you are going to have a little bit of current flowing,
especially with those swimming fish - so I added some movement with beadlines.
Perhaps that could be some algae or reeds growing along the bottom, moving in the water.
Then I added more beadlines,
and a few more swimmers.
All in all, about 15 minutes time invested in this
really simple to make
leftover scrap of paper project!

Old Becomes New

I used to be a scrapbooker.
Digital technology has taken away the need for me to scrapbook,
but I still have a ton of scrapbook supplies.
Recently I figured out that I could tangle on the paper.
I have enough scrapbook paper cut down into manageable pieces to last me for a couple years.
I used to have an online scrapbook store,
and I bought out the paper from two stores that were closing,
so seriously I have a bunch of paper.
I pulled out a 5" x 7" piece of this butterfly paper
and tangled some new patterns.
New for me.
From bottom to top:
logjam, feather nesting, xyp, ovy, fescu, jute,
African Artist, and lanie.
It always amazes me what a difference shading makes!

Do you have scrapbook paper that might look
awesome in a tangle?
How about with a stack of tangles?

Knee Deep and Falling Behind

My life is running in fast forward right now.
I just got home from one trip.
I'm headed out to get my hair re-blued,
then on to the airport to pick up Kali.
Then tomorrow we head to the
Wizarding World of Harry Potter
for a couple days.
Followed by Frankie time for a few days.
Then it's take Kali back to the airport,
come home and pack,
then head to Newfoundland for ten days.
I can not wait!!!!!
And with that much happening in my life,
I really don't have time for the migraine I feel building right now.
Easy time tangling is about all I can handle.
This is actually a piece of scrapbook paper I tangled on.
And I'm calling it good,
cause it's all I have time for right now.
