Here are my days 7 and 8 for
It's been a bit of a challenge this week,
but I've been able to keep up by tangling
a little bit each day.
You can check out The 100 Day Project at that
pink link just above.
So the thought of The 100 Day Project
is to make art for 100 days in a row.
Or as close to that as you can.
If you miss a day - jump back in the next day!
I am now an Ambassador for Leda Art Supply
and one of the products I am reviewing for them is
This little beauty is 3.5 x 5.5" and has 160 pages.
That is more than enough to complete the entire
100 Day Project!
At the end I am going to make a video of my
sketchbook pages made during the Project.
The paper wrap that came with the sketchbook says
the paper is 81 pounds and heavy enough to handle
several mediums including pencil, ink, pen, pastel or charcoal and
even a light watercolor wash.
At 81 pounds you have to wonder how true that statement is.
Well, you can see in the photo above -
the paper can definitely handle more than a light
watercolor wash.
Cause I don't do light.
It's all good with the Pocket Sketchbook.
And I know I will get questions in my email about
what I used for color.
You know who you are.
So, pictured above is what I used.
available at Joggles.com.
They went down so smooth and luscious in the
Baby Leda Pocket Sketchbook!
I did get a little ruffling, but not much.
And it's totally because of how much water I used.
I know the pages will smooth out and lay flat
once the book is closed with its elastic band
secured in place.
Above is Day 7 of the project.
In my Facebook group, I have my members
tangling 15 minutes a day for this event.
So I tried to adhere to that.
15 minutes and stop.
But I wasn't done.
I came back today while watching the replay
of last night's The Voice knockout rounds
and finished the drawing.
Photo proof. Hahaha!
I think Aurora is Team Blake!
All that was left was to add shading.
My least favorite thing to do.
Ugh.
But so necessary.
The tangle patterns are mostly my own:
pipez, barz, ripped screen, quadrant.
And I used printemps and a little diva dance.
A little strange but it was relaxing and fun!
The first week of The 100 Day Project is in the books!
Literally!
Awesome sauce with my Baby Leda Pocket Sketchbook!
