Diva Challenge #73 - Bridgen

iamthedivaczt Photobucket
This week the Diva's Challenge is a UMT one - Use My Tangle, where we get to submit our own tangle ideas for the weekly challenge. This week's tangle was designed by Daved, submitted by Carole Ohl. Steps for the tangle "Bridgen" can be seen here on Carole's blog. Above is my drawing. It was interesting to use and I actually trashed two before I completed this one. I have issues with lines - can't seem to get them equi-distance apart. Ugh.

Then - just because I could - I added a little color with my derwent inktense pencils (that I love!!!) And I even flicked some specks of color around the tile. An easy hand on that one so it doesn't overwhelm the design. What fun! Check out all the bridgen drawings at the Diva's page here! And maybe you'd like to give it a try and share with us :).

  4. Beautiful! I don't normally like alot of color, guess I'm just in love with the simplistic black on white, but you did such an awesome job of adding just the right amount of color - Sensational!

  5. No one said the lines have to be exactly the same length....or if they did I didn't get it, however, I love the color and the design in both of your renditions of the same zia. Equally beautiful color emphasis in both!

  8. This is so pretty with the colors--it softens it and your eye relaxes following the flow of the string. Beautiful!

  15. I really love this! The colors are beautiful and I think this tangle looks best when we limit the additional tangles. Simplicity is beautiful! I had the same problem with making them the same width! Practice practice, I guess! :)

  16. I LOVE this! Especially the one with the colors. I knew it reminded me of something, and Molly Bee hit the nail on the head--Frank Lloyd Wright's window designs! Great job.
