Dr. Seuss in the House

It's time to art journal today in
Zentangle All Around
on Facebook!

The prompt for this week was to journal
a page about someone who embodies
your focus word for the year.
The focus word I chose for the year is
hope.
Who better than Dr. Seuss who talked
about hope in many of his 44
children's books?

Born Theodor Seuss Geisel,
he faced many challenges before
his first book was finally accepted
by a publisher.
His book Oh the Places You'll Go
is often given as a graduation gift.
It speaks of unlimited adventure,
success, and hopefulness
if you will just get out the door
 and get on your way!
That is why I chose him for this prompt.

I used scrapbook paper for the background,
then added collage elements from the
internet. Some tangling with a copic
multiliner, and some writing
is all it took to make this simple
art journal page.

Want to give it a go?
Head on over to Facebook
and join us at
Zentangle All Around.
Knock and I'll open the door
to let you in!
